The awards for the annual Coast Union High School art competition were handed out on May 4th at the Cayucos Vets Hall. The winning drawings and paintings are on display at the Cayucos Community Art Gallery. Al Musso presented a gift certificate or $150 to the first place winner Makai Sutherland, shown here.
Coast Union art teacher Janet Johnson accepted the awards for those who could not attend; $125 to Erin Brandt for second place and $100 gift certificate to Natalie Rodriquez for third place (she did attend). The 3 honorable mentions; Audrey Hosman, Erin McEwen and Makai Sutherland were given large sketch pads.
